Functional Rehabilitation and Musculo-skeletal Injury
I started out in this field years ago but was always more interested in movement patterns of the whole person vs specific injury management – hence my specialty in neurological rehabilitation. BUT, over the last 10 years, the gulf between pure neurological physiotherapy and musculo-skeletal physiotherapy has narrowed significantly and principles have become shared – this is fascinating. Working in a sports injury clinic has allowed me to re-develop my specificity in injury management within the context of the whole; taking the individual from injury to functional outcome with guided functional rehabilitation principles. I enjoy tackling complex cases such as multi-trauma, amputees, scoliosis and overuse injuries.
